MICROBLADING & MICROSHADING
Microblading is a semi-permanent cosmetic procedure that uses a manual hand tool designed to create fine, hair-like strokes for a natural appearance. Microblading is ideal for filling in sparse areas of the eyebrow, defining and enhancing brow shape. While Microblading is meant to simulate hair strokes, Microshading is meant to simulate makeup. Microshading is great for someone who wants a more polished look. Unlike Permanent Makeup of the past, today's Semi Permanent Makeup will fade naturally over time. Typically, a color refresh is needed every year to 18 months. However, some people like their hair strokes to stay crisp so they may opt to come more often.
Microblading is not recommended for clients who are pregnant or nursing, under 18, undergoing chemo, prone to keloid scarring, have used Accutane within the past year, are epileptic, or HIV/Hepatitis positive.
Clients should prepare for microblading by:
• Avoiding Botox for one month prior.
• No chemical peels 30 days prior.
• No retinol 1 week prior.
• Do not consume alcohol or caffeine for 24 hours prior.
• Do not take any ibuprofen, aspirin, medications, or vitamins the day of your appointment. These may thin the blood.
• Do not touch eyebrows with anything other than a cotton swab after the procedure, for 24 hours.
• No getting brows wet for 7 days!
• No sweating into them! Avoid the gym; go for a walk (with a hat) instead.
• Apply a thin layer of aftercare serum once a day.
• Do not go into a sauna or steam room for 1 week.
• Absolutely no direct sun exposure for 2 weeks after procedure.
• Do not let direct shower stream hit eyebrows for 2 weeks.
• Do not pick at any peeling or flaking skin.
It is very important to trust the healing process. Your skin will go through many different stages in the 4 weeks you are healing. The first day you will absolutely love how they look. On days 2-5, they are 30-40% darker and thicker. The following days you will experience dry, itchy skin that you should avoid scratching. You might experience some slight scabbing or flakiness. Some strokes will disappear. A shiny layer of skin will be left with lighter strokes, then reappear in the following weeks. Be patient, trust the process and let your microbladed brows heal. After 4-6 weeks, we will reserve your complimentary touchup and your brows will be perfect.

At Glow, we offer Lash Extensions and Lash Lifts. With Lash Extensions, we can make your lashes as natural or dramatic as you'd like. We offer both Volume and Classic Lashes. We use only the highest quality lashes and glue. A fill will be needed every two to three weeks. As your natural lash grows out, so does your synthetic lash.
Lash Lifts are a great way to get the lashes to "lift" or curl for 4-to-6 weeks. A consultation is recommended for this treatment. Typically, the longer and thicker the natural lash, the better the curl. Lash Lifts work great on about 50% of clients; the other half see a slight lift. This is unfortunately very similar to perms on the hair. Not all lashes respond to the solution the same. We would like our clients to be informed before deciding to have the treatment, as the treatment charge will stay the same.

Teeth Whitening is achieved through Whiter Image. We've used this company for 9 years, with great results. It is an LED light in conjunction with a pre-filled tray. We can get you as white as your teeth will naturally go, whereas a dentist will take you beyond your natural white with bleaching. Because staining doesn't happen overnight, sometimes multiple sessions are necessary to get your ideal shade of white. Keep in mind teeth should be as white as the whites of your eyes for natural symmetry.
